My Private Coaching Plan That Works in Real Life

If you’re searching for the fastest way to get sober, you’re probably done with “maybe tomorrow.” You
want a clear plan. You want structure. And you want someone who can help you follow through when
cravings, stress, or old routines hit hard.
I’m Adam Shaffer. I provide private, personal support care for Men struggling with alcohol and drug over-
use, and I do it through in-home care or scheduled home visits based on an agreed plan.
This post is about how I approach sobriety when time matters.
What “fastest” actually means in Sobriety
When people say “fastest,” they usually mean one of these:
● “I need to stop drinking or using immediately.”
● “I’m close to relapse and I need support now.”
● “I have to get to treatment, but I’m not stable enough to do it alone.”
● “My family needs a real plan because nothing is working.”
The fastest way to get sober isn’t a trick. It’s the shortest path to stability plus accountability—so you
don’t fall back into the same loop.
The fastest way to get Sober starts with a 72-hour plan
I move quickly, but I don’t rush blindly. I start by building a plan for the next three days, because those
days are where most people slip.
Here’s what I focus on first:
1) I identify your real triggers (not just the obvious ones)
Triggers aren’t only bars or parties. Sometimes it’s mornings, loneliness, payday, arguments, or even
“feeling good again.”
In my one-on-one sober coaching, I help you:
● Identify triggers
● Build a response plan
● Manage cravings in real-world moments
● Set boundaries with people, places, and routines
2) I reduce decision fatigue with structure
Early Sobriety can feel like 100 decisions per day. It isn’t, I promise.
So I build a simple daily structure:
● Wake-up plan
● Food and hydration plan
● Movement plan
● Evening plan (this is where most relapse risk lives)
● A “craving script” for the moment you feel pulled
As a result, you don’t rely on motivation. You rely on a plan you can repeat.
3) I make accountability practical, not stressful
Accountability shouldn’t feel like shame. It should feel like support that keeps you steady.
My Sober Coaching is designed to be every day and practical, helping you apply what you may have
learned in therapy or treatment into daily life.
Sober Coaching vs. Sober Companionship (when you need more
than check-ins)
Sometimes Sober Coaching alone isn’t enough. If risk is high, the fastest way to get sober may require
intensive support.
That’s where Sober Companionship comes in - Live-In Care
I provide Sober Companionship which is more hands-on/Live-In Care support. I’m typically hired when a
Male needs more intensive help, at times before treatment as they wait for a bed / or for detoxing
purposes, or during transitions like leaving a treatment facility. - Primarily though I am called in to Live
with a Client instead of them going to Treatment - I bring Treatment to their door so they can do
day to day Life if needed or they just simply want to work on their personal path in a very Private
manner.
24/7 availability when it matters most
With Sober Companionship, I am there 24/7 so you stay on track.
This option is for people who know they’re at a tipping point and don’t want to gamble with “I’ll be fine.”
A quick safety note (because speed should never mean danger)
If you or someone you care about may be facing dangerous withdrawal, overdose, or severe medical risk,
emergency help comes first. Sober Coaching supports Recovery, but it does not replace medical care.
If you’re unsure, choose the safer option and get medical support.
Who I help and where I work
My Sober Coaching Services and their approach is adaptable to alcohol, drugs, and other Mental Health
issues, and I tailor strategies to the Client’s situation.
My Service locations are primarily in Canada &the United States.

Final thought
The fastest way to get sober is the path with the least guessing and the most follow-through. I focus on
structure, triggers, accountability, and real-life stability—so sobriety isn’t just a decision. It becomes a
routine you can keep.
